Dealing with Quarter Life Crisis

New Career Psychologist Service:  Dealing with The Quarter Life Crisis

  • Are you between the ages of 25 and 35 and dissatisfied with your career?
  • Is your career not turning out the way you expected?
  • Are you stuck in a job you dislike but uncertain of what would suit you better?

Daniel Levinson, a Yale graduated Psychologist, developed a theory of adult development.  Believe it or not, the age 30 transition is one of the toughest transitions we go through after adolescence.  This phenomena is known as the quarter-life crisis.

The quarter life crisis can strike any time between our mid twenties to early thirties.  We have enough experience to know what works – and what doesn’t.  Life begins to get more serious and inevitably we start to think about where we are, and compare this to where we want to go.  So it is perhaps not surprising that, as we approach our mid twenties and early thirties, we start questioning our career choices.  Many feel stuck between a rock and a hard place – between an unwanted present and an uncertain future.

If you are reading this and saying to yourself ‘this sounds like me’ then we can help.
