Prices for individual career services remain flexible, and all psychologists at The Career Psychologist continue to offer a free introductory session after which a detailed proposal, including number of sessions and total cost, will be made. Get in contact here to book your introductory session.
However, as a rough guideline an indication of costs is below:
- A one-off career session costs around £145. Sessions last around 90 minutes, but are often longer. One off sessions are great for people who want to focus on one particular issue. Further savings can be made on bookings of 4 sessions or more and concessions apply for those on lower incomes.
- The gold standard programme costs £950. This consists of 6 face to face sessions, use of The Career Psychologist’s handbooks, comprehensive psychometric testing, verbal, numerical and spatial ability testing, a written report with recommendations and e-mail and phone support over a 12 month period. This is the best programme if you have time to consider your options and want to consider your career in great depth.
- ‘Getting Unstuck’ Programme. This consists of 4 face to face sessions over 3 months, psychometric testing, phone and e-mail support. £595. This is the best programme if you want to ensure your next career decision is the best it possibly can be, but you want to get moving relatively quickly.
- A block of 4 career sessions costs £525 including use of The Career Psychologist’s 4 career handbooks and phone and e-mail support. This is the best value career programme.
- ‘CareerStorm Navigator’ Programme. 3 phone or face to face sessions with e-mail support, plus use of the online career decision making programme CareerStorm Navigator TM. £525. This programe is best for those who work abroad or who find it difficult to make it to London for sessions with me.
- CareerStorm Navigator TM by itself costs £150. This is excellent for those who just need a structure with which to make an informed career decision.
- Alternatively, we occasionally run group career courses, which costs £125 for a full day (based on 8 participants). I have run these courses within organisations, often using CareerStorm Navigator. Get in contact if you’re interested.
Psychometric testing
Aptitude assessments
These tests help people to understand their main strengths and weaknesses and cover a range of skills used in various types of problem solving. Assessments vary but most focus on verbal and numerical reasoning and spatial and technical abilities. Testing plus written report. Cost £195.
Personality Profiling
These tests help you to understand your personality preferences, and identify how this might relate to the workplace. These tests are useful if you wish to explore what kind of working environment, role or style of working might suit you best. Cost £250.
Occupational Interests
These tests help you to epxlore the career path(s) that interest you. By measuring how similar your interests are to individuals already doing similar jobs, these tests provide a snapshot of how your interests link to different careers. Cost – testing plus written report £195.
The British Psychological Society’s (BPS) Test Standards Committee, exercise control over who is authorised to use these assessments and the professional training required. We abide by BPS test standards and code of ethics.
