Background
Most people these days try to live a healthy lifestyle. They know about the benefits of exercise. They’re aware of the dangers of empty calories, nicotine and too much stress. Yet so many people still find it hard to make healthy decisions, particularly at work.
Why is this?
Too much confidence is placed inthe idea that humans make decisions rationally. We don’t.
Most of us make decisions unconsciously, off the cuff. We take the easy route. We think short term and make excuses.
Understanding this is the first step to improving peoples’ decisions regarding their own health and well-being. It’s not just about changing our environment, but changing our response to it that counts.
What I do
I offer services which make it easier for your staff to manage stress and make healthy choices.
- I work with organisations and individuals to help them understand their decision making biases and to find ways to make consistently healthier decisions.
- I partner with personal trainers, physiotherapists and nutritionists to offer ready-made occupational health solutions for all types of company, big or small.
What I offer
- I offer training in the psychology of motivation and decision making.
- I run group or one to one coaching sessions which help people to identify the patterns that have prevented them making healthier choices in the past.
- I offer ongoing support to organisations who wish to offer a selection of health-related employee benefits to their staff. ACT, hypnotherapy and cognitive behavioural interventions are all available to help our clients
effect permanent change in their lives.
